FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Helpful answers for facilities, residents, and families.
About the service
How often should my loved one receive nail care?
Our recommendations are generally foot care every 2 weeks and fingernail care every 4 weeks. Individual needs and facility scheduling should always be considered. This approach can help support healthy aging while keeping nails clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
Where are services provided?
Services are provided directly at participating assisted-living and long-term-care communities.
Is this medical or podiatric care?
No. Texas Senior Nail Care Solutions provides non-medical nail care services for personal grooming and comfort. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical or podiatric care. Medical concerns should be referred to an appropriate healthcare professional.
Safety & sanitation
How do you help protect my loved one’s safety?
One-time disposable items are used whenever possible and appropriate for each client. Metal instruments are sterilized using a hospital-grade autoclave process and kept in sealed, individual-use packages until needed. Gloves are used with appropriate infection-control practices.
Scheduling
What happens if my loved one is unavailable at the time of the visit?
We check with facility staff and make several attempts to locate the resident before leaving. If the resident cannot be seen at that time, staff will cycle through the facility list and place the resident at the end of that day’s list to see if they can still be fit in.
What if my loved one transfers to another facility?
Simply email us with the new facility information. We can update the service location and coordinate with the new community.
Are requested appointment times guaranteed?
Requested dates and times are preferences. Scheduling is coordinated with the facility, and an appointment is not confirmed until the scheduled time is communicated.
Payments
How do I set up recurring payments?
Recurring payment arrangements can be set up through the payment system during enrollment or by contacting us. Available billing arrangements may include weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly options.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal.
For facilities
How does a facility get started?
Complete the Facility Sign-Up form. We review your community information and coordinate resident participation, service days, and next steps with your team.
Can a facility participate in the partnership program?
Participating facilities may be eligible for partnership incentives based on resident participation and enrollment. A monetary contribution to support resident activities may be provided when permitted by the facility and applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Special occasions
Can nail color be provided for holidays or birthdays?
Special-occasion nail color or polish may be available for holidays, birthdays, and other resident celebrations when appropriate and permitted by the community.
